J&K: Drug Peddler arrested with 20Kg Charas in Shopian: Police.

 Police on Monday arrested a drug peddler with a huge quantity of Charas from his possession in Jammu and Kashmir’s Shopian district.

Police during a routine check at Safanagri, noticed a person moving in a suspicious condition who tried to flee from the spot after seeing the police.

However, he was tactfully apprehended and upon his search two nylon bags containing a Charas-like substance weighing about 20 Kg and 584 grams were recovered, police said.

The accused has been identified as Imtiyaz Ahmad Dar a resident of Darbagh

A case under NDPS Act was registered in Zainapora Police Station and an investigation was taken up, Police said.
