J&K: Police destroys wild cannabis in Baramulla

Police in coordination with the Excise Department destroyed wild cannabis in Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Wednesday.

The wild cannabis were destroyed in the Goshbugh-Lolipora and Goshbugh-Wussan areas in the district by the joint team, comprising police officials and excise personnel, after they conducted a thorough search of the area and identified vast tracts of land approx 20 kanals.

The team meticulously destroyed the wild cannabis, ensuring that the drugs do not reach the streets and fuel addiction.

This drive is part of the Police’s persistent efforts to curb the menace of drug abuse in the society.

The public has widely appreciated the initiative, acknowledging the Police’s commitment to combating drug abuse. The community has urged the Police to expand the drive to other areas, demonstrating their support for the campaign.
