JKSA constitutes National Executive Council to strengthen liaison with centre and states on student issues

JKSA Writes to PM Modi seeking urgent intervention to ensure safety and evacuation of Indian students in Iran amid escalation

 The Jammu and Kashmir Students Association (JKSA), on Tuesday, announced the formation of its National Executive Council (NEC), aimed at further strengthening the organisation’s decision-making structure and enhancing coordination at the national level.

The NEC will be the second-highest decision-making body of JKSA, after the Central Working Committee (CWC). It will play a crucial role in ensuring effective coordination, communication, and strategic planning across states, besides offering policy recommendations, facilitating timely decisions, overseeing programme implementation, and liaising with both the Central and State Governments for the redressal of issues faced by students from Jammu and Kashmir.

Mushtaq Habeeb has been nominated as the Chairman of the National Executive Council, while Danish Lone has been nominated as the Vice Chairman of the NEC. The following members have been nominated to the National Executive Council; Nasir Khuehami, Davood Peer, Aadil Bhat, Umar Jamal, Faizan Peer, Dr. Zubair Reshi, Sheikh Azhar, Peerzada Mahboob-ul-Haq, Munawar Mehraj, Mir Zubair, Krishna Saproo, Manzoor Wani, Mubashir Ahmad, Rahool Banka, and Shakir Parray and Hasnain Rocky.

The NEC will function as a vital bridge between the Central Working Committee and JKSA’s state and district units, ensuring a smooth flow of information, collective leadership, and prompt redressal of grievances. It will also contribute to organisational expansion, leadership development, crisis response, and strengthening JKSA’s institutional presence nationwide.

Chairman of the Association, Mushtaq Habeeb, expressed confidence in the dedication and enthusiasm of the newly constituted NEC to ensure the welfare and betterment of Jammu and Kashmir’s student community. He emphasized the importance of collective effort and unity in making JKSA a stronger, more effective, and responsive platform for students across the country.(KINS)
