Dr. Abdul Majid, Associate professor, SKIMS Medical College Srinagar is the only JK based doctor who is invited in the Forum-type webinar on “Mental Health in the era of the COVID-19 pandemic: An international perspective”

The webinar for mental health professionals and educationists in the field of mental health has been organized under the auspices of the Pan-Hellenic Medical Association, Faculty of Medicine, School of Health Sciences and Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and the World Psychiatric Association.
Dr. Majid is assigned to talk about “Stigma, Death & Grief amid COVID pandemic: Experience from Kashmir, India.
Talking to The Legitimate, Dr. Majid said, “It is a proud moment to be invited as an international faculty in the conference where along with other world-renowned dignitaries, Stalwarts will speak as well.”
The Webinar is an online podium to share views about the situation on COVID-19 statistics and lockdown conditions in different countries, realities of work and life of mental health professionals, educationists, students in the field of psychiatry and the researchers’ opinions about the effects of COVID-19 pandemic on mental health in the general population across countries.
Dr. Abdul Majid, a renowned psychiatrist of Jammu & Kashmir has also participated in various other webinars amid COVID 19 and shared his valuable information regarding how to maintain mental health and fight all the odds amid pandemic lockdown during which most of the people have become the victims of mental health issues like depression, fear, anxiety, etc.
