Commuters advised to avoid journeys till clearance of weather’
Traffic movement came to a grinding halt on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway after incidents of landslides and shooting stones occurred at several places along the NH-44, said J&K Traffic Police on Saturday.
As per the news agency CNS, the shooting stones, mudslides and landslides took place on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway after heavy rains for hours.
They said that the national highway was blocked at many places, resulting in stranding of vehicles on the NH-44.
People, who are intending to embark on journeys via Jammu and Srinagar National Highway, were advised to avoid the same till an improvement in the weather conditions. (CNS)
