“It speaks about the volumes about the atrocities being committed by Indian forces on Kashmiris. Nobody is there to look into these heinous acts,” Geelani said in his official statement.

He said only the sincerity and honesty can resolve the Kashmir issue and India must adopt the same strategy.

“Let India take sincere steps, shun its egoistic approach and respect fundamental rights and this will pave a way for lasting solution to long pending issue, Geelani reacted to the statement of Union Defense Minister, Manohar Parikar.

Parikar had said that Kashmir is a complex problem and not easy to solve.

Geelani also criticized national media over Chadoora episode in which the civilians were seen offering safe passage to the Paramilitary forces during the clashes.

“The national media misinterpreted and manipulated the incident, the video illustrated how locals provided a safe passage to forces, however media twisted it other way and it is a shameful act.”

“Islam conveys a peaceful message for human societies and those involved in terrorist acts are none but enemies of humanity” said Geelani.
