Lt Governor pays homage to 2 army men and 2 porters during a wreath-laying ceremony in Srinagar

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Friday paid homage to the two Rashtriya Rifles (RR) soldiers and two porters who lost their lives in a militant attack at Bota Pathri in Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Thursday.

The Lt Governor laid wreath and paid homage to Rifleman Jeevan Singh, Rifleman Kaisar Ahmad Shah, and porters Mushtaq Ahmad Chowdary and Zahoor Ahmad Mir, who were killed during a militant attack that occurred near the Line of Control LoC) in the Nagin Dhok Bota Pathri area of Gulmarg on Thursday evening.

“Paid homage to the brave soldiers and Defence Porters who made the supreme sacrifice in the service to the nation in Butapathri Sector on October 24, 2024. India will never forget their selfless service & their supreme sacrifice. We stand in solidarity with the bereaved families”, the Lt Governor posted on X.
