Wounded shifted to SMHS for treatment, he is stable, say docs

Srinagar: A mentally unsounded person was shot at near Air force camp in Malangpora area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district, officials said.

Officials according to the wire service—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) said a mentally unsound person identified as Bashir Ahmad Ganie, 30, son of Ali Muhammad Ganie of Lappadpora Yaripora Kulgam was roaming around the Air force camp in Malangpora.

However, forces at the camp found something suspicious and fired upon him, leaving him seriously wounded. Police said that the warning shots were also fired after finding something suspicious by the forces.

The officials informed KNO that the injured person was rushed to District Hospital Pulwama wherefrom he has been shifted to SMHS hospital for advanced treatment. “He has received multiple shots, but is stable,” said a doctor at SMHS. (KNO)
