The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Friday conducted search operations in the Shopian and Pulwama districts of Jammu and Kashmir in connection with its investigation into the November 10 blast near Delhi’s Red Fort, officials said.
According to officials, NIA teams, assisted by local police and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), carried out the searches while escorting one of the accused, Yasir Ahmad Dar, who was arrested earlier for his alleged role in the so-called “white-collar” terror module.
The searches were underway in the Padpawan area of Shopian and the Pampore area of Pulwama in south Kashmir. Officials said the operations were carried out on the basis of disclosures made by Dar, the ninth accused in the case, who had informed investigators about suspected hideouts in these locations.Further details are awaited as the investigation continues.(KINS)
