NR Godse Was First Hindu Terrorist: Kamal Hasan

Kamal Hasan has evoked a new controversy by saying NR Godsi, the person who killed Gandhi Ji, was the first Hindu Terrorist. These claims he made while addressing an election campaign in Tamil Nadu’s Aravarkurichi, last night.
The actor turned politician said he was proud to be a part of that India in which people from all walks are given due and equal consideration.
He said that his desires were to see an India of equality and where “the three colours” in nation’s flag, as obvious references to different faiths should remain intact.
He said, ” I am not saying this because this is a Muslim dominated area, but I am saying this before a statue of Gandhi. Free India’s first terrorist was a Hindu, his name is Nathu Ram Godse.

On reacting to his comments BJP leader Sundarjan in a tweet said, recalling Gandhi’s assassination now politics and calling it as a Hindu terrorism was equally condemnable. He considered such comments by Hasan as hate mongering and divisive.
Kamal Hasan has been in lime light for his spate of controversial comments which has made frequently since the times he joined politics. The Actor; Politician has been always critical of BJP party and its policies towards minorities like Muslims in the country.
