Security Forces have gunned down one more terrorist in an ensuing operation in Hiranagar belt of Kathua district in Jammu and Kashmir.
One CRPF jawan also lost his life and civilian suffered injuries in the gunfight.
“One more terrorist has been neutralised in the encounter taking the toll to two in village Saidal Sohal in Hiranagar belt,” said an official.
He said that the searches are continue as one more terrorist is believed to be hiding in the populated area.
A huge quantity of arms and ammunition was also recovered from the encounter site.
Earlier senior police officers, DIG Jammu and SSP Kathua had a narrow escape during the gunfight when the hiding terrorist opened fire at their official vehicle.
The operation is underway, they said.
