‎ Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday extended warm greetings to people across the country on the occasion of regional New Year festivals, including Poila Boishakh, Vishu, and Rongali Bihu, highlighting India’s rich cultural diversity and traditions.

‎In separate posts on X, the Prime Minister conveyed his wishes to citizens celebrating these festivals, which marks the beginning of the traditional new year in different parts of the country. “Shubho Noboborsho! Best wishes on Poila Boishakh,” Modi said, greeting people observing the Bengali New Year, a festival widely celebrated in West Bengal and by Bengali communities across India and abroad.

‎Extending his wishes for Vishu, the harvest festival observed in Kerala, Modi wrote, “Have a wonderful Vishu!” The festival is considered auspicious and is marked by rituals such as Vishukkani and family gatherings, symbolising prosperity and renewal.
