Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday expressed pride over the growing international participation in the India AI Impact Summit, saying the event reflects both the rising stature of India in technology and the immense potential of its youth. The Prime Minister is scheduled to inaugurate the India AI Impact Expo 2026 today.

‎In a post on X, the Prime Minister said, “It is a matter of immense pride for us that people from all over the world are coming to India for the India AI Impact Summit. This also reflects the potential and capabilities of our country’s youth.”

‎He added that the summit stands as proof of India’s rapid strides in science and technology. “The occasion is a testament to the fact that our nation is progressing rapidly in the fields of science and technology and is making a significant contribution to global development,” Modi wrote.

‎The Prime Minister also shared a Sanskrit verse underscoring the importance of virtues such as charity, penance, purity, knowledge, humility and righteousness:

‎“Daane tapasi shaucham cha, vigyaanam vinaye naye; Vismayo na hi kartavyo, bahuratnaa vasundharaa.”

‎He explained its meaning, noting that while excellence should be celebrated, it should not lead to astonishment, as the world is filled with extraordinary talent and virtues.

‎The India AI Impact Summit has drawn participation from policymakers, technology leaders, researchers and entrepreneurs from across the globe. The event focuses on the responsible development and deployment of artificial intelligence, innovation ecosystems, and India’s role in shaping global AI governance.

‎India has been actively promoting digital transformation through flagship initiatives such as Digital India, expanding its startup ecosystem, and investing in emerging technologies including artificial intelligence, semiconductors and quantum computing.

‎With a large pool of young engineers, researchers and startup founders, India is positioning itself as a key player in the global AI landscape. Modi’s remarks reinforce the government’s emphasis on leveraging technology for inclusive growth and global collaboration.
