Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, police have arrested a drug peddler in Sopore and recovered contraband substance from his possession.
A police team led by Incharge Police Post Watergam under the supervision of SDPO Rafiabad and SHO Police Station Dangiwacha, during patrolling at Watergam, intercepted a suspicious person. During search, 696 grams of contraband charas powder like substance and 34 grams of charas like substance was recovered from his possession. He has been identified as Mohammad Jamal Gojree son of Ghulam Ahmad Gojree resident of Watergam Rafiabad. Subsequently he has been arrested.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 29/2025 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Dangiwacha & further investigation has been initiated.
