In its ongoing mission to eliminate the scourge of drugs from society, Police in Srinagar has arrested a notorious drug peddler and recovered contraband substance from his possession.
A Police team of Srinagar police during routine patrolling duty at Rawalpora-Peerbagh link road, intercepted and apprehended a suspicious person. During search, contraband Heroin-like substance was recovered from his possession. He has been identified as Aqib Farooq Bhat (notorious drug peddler) son of Farooq Ahmad Bhat resident of Nadirgund, Peerbagh Hyderpora. Accordingly, a case vide FIR No.16/2025 under NDPS Act has been registered in Police Station Sadder and investigation has been initiated.
