Budgam: Police have arrested a youth in connection with the burning down of a Panchayat Ghar in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
A police official on condition of anonymity said that the arrest was made in Chadoora area of Budgam district.
He said that during questioning, the accused confessed he along with others set Panchayat Ghar at Kultrah area of fire. “More arrests are expected in this connection,” he said.
A couple of fire incidents of Panchayat Ghars have been reported in Kashmir Valley, ever since the government announced the dates for local body elections.
