Police attaches properties of notorious drug peddler in J&K?s Kulgam

Police on Friday attached properties of a notorious drug peddler in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kulgam district.

Police said it attached properties (One double storied residential house and a residential cum commercial house) measuring 3457 Sq. Ft (Valuing Rs 3 Crores) belonging to a notorious drug peddler identified as Abdul Rashid Rather aka Mathur a resident of Bonigam Qazigund, under section 68-F(2) of NDPS Act 1985.

“The properties were identified as illegally acquired property during the course of investigation/enquiry conducted by Kulgam police and were prima facie acquired from illicit trafficking in narcotic drug and psychotropic substances by the owner”, police said.

The accused is presently detained under PIT NDPS act and is lodged at Central Jail Kot Balwal Jammu.

Pertinently the said drug peddler is involved in Case FIR number 128/2020 and Case FIR number 227/2023 of Police Station Qazigund.
