Bandipora: National Conference vice president and former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah Monday said that if his party comes to power, Jammu and Kashmir once again have a President and Prime Minister.
Omar Abdullah while lashing out at Amit Shah over his statement that BJP will abrogate Article 35A by 2020 said that Jammu and Kashmir is not like other states of India and had acceded to the Union on certain terms and conditions including its special status.
Addressing a gathering of workers at Bandipora, Omar said New Delhi had gradually eroded the state’s special status “but we will take back what you have snatched from us.”
Omar reiterated that if Article 370 or Article 35A were tampered with, the state’s accession to India will also have to be discussed then. (GNS)
