Srinagar: BJP National Secretary Ram Madhav Wednesday said National Conference and People’s Democratic Party were contesting the Parliamentary polls for personal gains and accused the two regional parties of singing different tunes in New Delhi and Kashmir.
“Dilli main Ram tune gaate hain, aur yaha separatist tune ( they sing Ram’s tune in Delhi and separatist tune here),” he said.
Madhav also flayed the two parties for recent statements by their leaders.
Mehbooba Mufti calls party workers Mujahideen while Akbar Lone shouts Pakistan zindabad slogans just to “mislead” people, he according to GNS said.
The BJP leader said the crackdown on “separatists” will continue.
Madhav also questioned NC and PDP’s decision to contest Parliamentary elections.
“When municipal polls were being held, these parties said they are boycotting to save Article 370. Now they are in fray to save their political future,” he said.
Madhav said the BJP was a “mainstream party in Kashmir now.” (GNS)
