2nd Day: Film Shri 420 Screened At Tagore Hall

Srinagar: Bollywood feature film Shri 420 was screened on the second day of Kashmir World Film Festival (KWFF) at Tagore Hall here.

The other films that were screened during the day include Afzal Sofi’s All Out, Indu Shekhar’s Smoke Free, Nupur Sandhu’s Beautiful Me, Suraj Vilas Dalvi’s Tiparu, Sharofat Arabova’s The Illusion Sellar, Vishal Shinde’s Quarter, Bilal A Jan’s The Poet of Silence, Pankaj Saxena’s Cinessence in Kashmir and Mushtaq A Bala’s Purana Ghar.

Vani Tripathi Tikoo, an actor, producer and the member of the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) interacted with the students and the film buffs on the side-lines of the festival.

During her interactions, she talked about the film censorship, women right in the films, and how the films are being censored at the censor board.

Students and films buffs also expressed pleasure to the festival team for organizing such kind of festival in the valley.

“It is a very unique kind of festival taking place in the valley. We get to see the world class films here and we also get to know different genres of filmmaking from the film experts coming from different parts of the India,” said Sadia Hilal, a film buff.

They are getting an overwhelming response from the students and general masses.

“We have improved a lot in terms of quality and quantity as far as the last edition is concerned. We intend to make this festival a regular feature in Kashmir in the ages to come,” Festival Director Mushtaaque Ali Ahmad Khan said Valley Media Service in a statement.

The festival is being hosted by FM Tadka’s RJ Deevangna.(VMS)
