Shubhangi Dutt wins best actress for ‘Tanvi The Great’ at IFFA

Actor Shubhangi Dutt has won the ‘Best Actress Award’ for her performance in ‘Tanvi The Great’ at the International Film Festival of Australia (IFFA 2025).


The honour marks a major milestone in her Bollywood debut.


Director and co-star Anupam Kher celebrated the achievement on Instagram, writing, “Big Big Congratulations Dearest Shubhangi Dutt for winning the Best Actress Award for TanviTheGreat at the prestigious International Film Festival Of Australia!”


“You deserve every single award for your amazing performance. You are flawless. Your hard work shows in every frame. You’ve made the entire team so proud. And this is just the beginning! May God give you all the happiness. Love and blessings!” he said.


Kher also shared photos of Shubhangi receiving the award, radiating pride and joy in front of an international audience.


‘Tanvi The Great,’ directed by Anupam Kher, features Shubhangi in the lead role of Tanvi Raina, a young girl inspired by her late father’s service in the Indian Army as she sets out to follow his path. The film explores themes of autism, identity, and military legacy.


The cast also includes Anupam Kher, Jackie Shroff, Boman Irani, and Karan Tacker. The film has earned international acclaim, screening at prominent festivals in Cannes, New York, Houston, and London, and receiving standing ovations at special showings at the National Defence Academy and Southern Command in Pune.
