The Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium witnessed a spectacular display of resilience and skill as Sunrisers Hyderabad’s Nitish Kumar Reddy and Travis Head orchestrated a stunning partnership, propelling their team to a commanding total against Rajasthan Royals in the 50th match of IPL 2024 here on Thursday.


In a game fraught with tension, Hyderabad found themselves grappling with early setbacks. However, Nitish and Head emerged as the heroes of the day, fashioning a remarkable 96-run alliance for the third wicket, rescuing their team from a precarious position.


Nitish exhibited masterful batting prowess, crafting an unbeaten 76 off a mere 42 deliveries. His innings, embellished with three boundaries and an impressive tally of eight sixes, injected a surge of energy into the Hyderabad camp, captivating the audience at the stadium.


Head’s contribution proved equally crucial, as he anchored the innings with a composed 58 runs off 44 balls. His innings, featuring six boundaries and three towering sixes, not only bolstered Hyderabad’s total but also underscored his mettle under pressure.


Heinrich Klaasen’s lightning-quick cameo, accumulating 42 runs from just 19 balls, provided the finishing touches to Hyderabad’s innings, ensuring a daunting total on the scoreboard.
