Srinagar: Two militants were on Tuesday killed in a gunfight between security forces and militants in Jammu and Kashmir’s Tral town, said police officials.
The identity of the militants is yet to be ascertained.
Upon receiving information about the militants, the security forces started a search operation in Mir Mohalla on Monday evening.
“As the operation continued on Tuesday morning, the militants fired at the security forces triggering the gunfight,” the police added Authorities have suspended mobile Internet services in the town. (KNS)
