Woman killed another injured in Kangra road mishap

A woman was killed, and another was injured in a hit and run road mishap at Nagrota Bagwan main market in Himachal Pradesh’s Kangra district on Saturday, police said.

Kangra district Superintendent of police Shailini Agnihotri told UNI on Saturday that Police Station Nagrota Bagwan on Friday, in Nagrota main market an unknown motorcyclist, driving a motorcycle at high speed negligently and carelessly, hit two women including Pushpa Devi resident of Uthda Grand Tehsil Nagrota Bagwan district Kangra and Shivani resident of Katora Tehsil Jwali district Kangra.

SP Shailini said that both women were injured, and Pushpa Devi was taken for treatment to DRPGMC Tanda, where Pushpa Devi sccummbed to her injuries and died. Shivani was under treatment. SP Shalini Agnihotri said that police registered a case under section 279, 337 and 304 (A) of IPC. at Nagrota Bagwan Police Station. Police was looking for the erring reckless motorcyclist.

She said that under Police Station Shahpur the driver of truck no HP 23 1254 identified as Pyare Lal resident Bhagwani Post Office Lada Tehsil Ghumarvi District Bilaspur while driving the truck at high speed negligently and carelessly hit the vehicles parked on the roadside HP40A 7486 and HP83 4836 and both the vehicles were damaged. She said that the police have registered a case under section 279 IPC against erring driver Pyare Lal at Shahpur Police Station.
