Srinagar: A militant was killed in an ongoing encounter at Handwara area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
Reports reaching GNS said that a joint team of army, SOG and CRPF launched a cordon at Check Sudal village today in the afternoon. A police officer said that the gunfight broke out following the joint team of forces intensified searches in the area.
So far in the ongoing operation one militant has been killed, he said.(GNS)
