43 Employees Found Absent

SRINAGAR: In a bid to ensure responsibility and the accountability of the employees working in the Health Department in district Baramulla, a surprise inspection of at least 40 different health institutions was conducted today by the district authorities.

The inspections were conducted by concerned SDMs on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Mohammad Aijaz Asad, while in Sopore, the inspection was conducted by the ADC.

Around 43 employees in the district working in various health institutions were found absent from their duties. On the directions of the authorities, the details of all such employees have been submitted to the Deputy Commissioner’s office, who later ordered withholding their salaries with immediate effect.

The health institutions that were inspected include 6 in Pattan, 77 Tangmarg, 13 Sopore, 5 Baramulla and 9 in Uri medical block and 4 employees were found absent from their duties in Pattan, 7 Tangmarg, 23 Sopore, 8 in Baramulla and one in Uri.

The District Magistrate has stated that such inspections will continue in order to bring in discipline in the Government institutions for effective delivery of services.
