Security forces recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition during a joint search operation in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district, police said on Wednesday.
Acting on a specific input from Jammu and Kashmir Police, a joint search-and-destroy operation in orchard was launched by Kulgam Police, 34 Rashtriya Rifles and 18 Battalion CRPF in the Tantrypora–Sursnoo orchards.
During the operation, the forces recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition, dealing a “significant blow” to the terror ecosystem, Police said.
Further details regarding the quantity and type of arms and ammunition recovered were awaited.
