Hizb Owns Batamaloo Attack, One Trooper Dead

Srinagar: Militant outfit Hizbul Mujhadeen while owning the responsibility of Batamaloo attack said that a paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) man was killed after the boys affiliated with Hizb attacked them.

The outfit Operational Spokesperson Burhanuddin told news agency CNS that a couple of militants from the outfit carried an attack on Indian troopers resulting in the death of a CRPF man and injuries to others.

Pertinently, the militants carried out the attack in busy Batamaloo near Fire and Emergency Service office creating panic in the area.

A trooper whom sources identified as Shankar Lal of 23 Battalion was injured in the attack who later on succumbed to his injuries.(CNS)
