Fake

Fake

Fake this earth

And fake the sky.

Fake is the smile

Of the mother in the throes of pain.

Fake is the cry of the new born

As she gasps for that first living breath.

Fake are the celebrations as they welcome the baby girl and fake are the smiles as they watch her grow.

Fake the laughter when wedding preparations are on.

Fake are the tears when she is willingly sent away.

Fake are the smiles as she steps the threshold.

Fake her coy smile and sounds of ecstatic pleasure, for fake is the warm embrace.

Fake is the anguish when she is tortured to death.

Fake is this tale of heaven and hell.
