Lashkar-e-Toiba has expressed concern over the the condition of the Kashmiri prisoners in different jails of India and has appealed the human rights groups across the world to take steps for the improvement of life of these prisoners.
In an emailed statement to KNS, LeT chief Mahmood Shah has said that the militant outfit “condemns the condition of Kashmiri prisoners in Indian jail”.

Kashmir prisoners’ health is deteriorating in these jails and they have been infected by several fatal diseases,” LeT chief was quoted by spokesman Dr Abdullah Ghaznavi in the statement.
“These prisoners are fed with substandard food which is mixed with chemicals that causes diseases in their bodies,” he said.
The LeT chief said that it appeals to human rights bodies in the world and human friendly groups in India to rise to the occasion to save these prisoners.
He said that prisoners like Dr Qasim Faktoo, Masarat Alam, Ghulam Qadir Bhat, Tariq Ahmad Dar, Dr Shafi, Showkat Hakeem, Fayaz Talaq, Rashid Shigan, Talib Lali, Muzaffar, Dawood and others are in dire need of medicine.
“We appeal the human rights groups to come forward and pres the Indian government to provide healthcare to the prisoners,” he said.
