Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday delivered a strong message in the Lok Sabha during his response to the debate on the Pahalgam terror attack and Operation Sindoor, declaring that India’s armed forces gave a “befitting and unforgettable response” to those responsible.
PM Modi said the attack was not just an isolated act of terror but a larger conspiracy designed to provoke communal unrest across the country. “The aim of the Pahalgam attack was to spark riots in India. But the unity and resolve of the nation defeated this sinister design,” he told the House.
Reaffirming his government’s commitment to national security, the prime minister said, “I had promised that the terrorists and their handlers would be taught a lesson beyond their imagination. Our armed forces were given full freedom, and they delivered a blow so strong that the so-called masters of terrorism are still losing sleep.”
PM Modi also mentioned Pakistan’s nervous reaction prior to India’s counter strike. “Sensing our intent, they started issuing nuclear threats. But when the moment came, they could do nothing as we hit their terror networks hard,” he said.
Calling the ongoing Parliament session a “Vijayotsav” (celebration of victory), Modi said it marked India’s triumph over terrorism and the dismantling of terror infrastructure.
“This is not just a military success. It is a statement of India’s willpower and unity,” he concluded.(KINS)
