Srinagar: A delegation of Flood affected people of Eidgah and adjacent areas led by Imtiyaz Ahmad Khan Org. Secretary JK PCC called on MLC and Vice President JK PCC G N Monga. The delegation apprised Congress Vice President regarding discrimination with the flood affected people by a Naib Tehsildar posted in Eidgah Teshil Syed Andrabi, who is preparing fresh lists of flood affected people on the behest of some ruling party Workers.

Congress Vice President was also told that the said officer is deliberating creating hurdles for the real Flood Affected people who have already been confirmed for Relief by the Revenue department, but this is unfortunate that Naib Tehsildar Syed Abid Andrabi who is dancing on the tune of some Ruling Party Workers is preparing lists to favor those who according to Delegation were not affected by the floods, he said.

G.N. Monga while expressing anguish over this issue urged the helmsmen of Revenue to Department to investigate into the matter and shift the Naib Tehsildar of Eidgah in order to ensure transparency while providing relief to the Flood Affected people. He  said any individual or group cannot hijack the Revenue Department to benefit those who are no way affected by the floods, but at the same time, Monga urged the Government to ensure  relief to all those who are affected due to September 2014 floods in one way or the other, without indulging in time consuming process. (KNS)
