The iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House were illuminated in the vibrant colours of the Indian national flag during the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the Australian city.
Among the last engagements of PM Modi was to visit the Sydney Harbour and the Opera House along with his Australian counterpart Anthony Albanese on Wednesday evening. The two leaders stood with the colours lighting up the background, and shook hands and chatted.
Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong in a tweet said:
“A beautiful moment watching the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Sydney Opera House lit up with the Indian tri-colours alongside @DrSJaishankar.
“A terrific display of dosti – or friendship.”
