US President Donald Trump expressed confidence that the United States will obtain enriched uranium from Iran.
“We dropped bombs, every one of those bombs went down … the whole mountain collapsed on top of that site … They looked at it at the beginning, and they said there’s no way that anybody can ever get down to the nuclear dust but I’d still rather have it. I’d rather get it … I just, I would feel better getting it too, and we will get it,” Trump told Fox News on Thursday.
Trump added that the US could repeat bombings of Iranian nuclear facilities to make access to uranium impossible.
“I told them [Iran] that if they have sent [Iran] force over there to try [remove uranium], all we’ll do is just hit it with [Iran] couple of bombs, and that’s going to be the end of that,” he noted.
Trump said that the US is monitoring Iran’s nuclear facilities, which were subjected to American bombing, around the clock.
