After fresh snowfall and the incessant rains from last two days most of the residential areas of north Kashmir’s sopore town have been waterlogged causing huge inconvenience to the locals.
All the roads are water logged throwing the life out of gear.
Sopore`s Model town, Badambagh, Shalimar colony, Sidiq colony, Noorbagh and many other areas of town are worst hit due to water logging that restrict the public movement.
“We had to wear long boots to venture out from our houses as the entire interior roads have submerged” said an inhabitant of Model town sopore.
People of these residential areas of the town alleged that these situations arise again and again because of the inaction higher authorities.
Mushtaq ahmad a local resident said “No dewatering pumps were used to drain the waters from the roads and streets & administration has done least to bring people out of their miseries”
Meanwhile people of the area appealed the concerned MLA sopore to kindly put men and machinery to dewater the areas so people of the area will not face any more hardships.
