Teacher Forces Kids To Shift School Furniture In Tangdar

Kupwara: Students at Govt Primary School Tangdar area of this frontier district Kupwara have been breaking their back. Not from their school homework but from the manual labour they’ve been allegedly forced to perform under the orders of their school teacher.

People of the Tangdar area of Karnah Kupwara who upload photos of students on social media while caring things of school, alleged that school administration today shifted the furniture from main market to school and forced children’s to carry furniture.

When contacted ZEO Tangdar Mohd Yousuf, said that he will investigate in this matter.

 
“Parents are concerned about their children and even the students have been refusing to go to school,” Fayaz Karnahi a Social activist said while talking to our Special Correspondent Wasim Majnoon Mir over Phone.

He demanding that the teacher who forced students to work be suspended immediately and a criminal case be filed against him for child labour under the provisions of the Child Labour Prohibition Act.”Despite the strict laws, child labour has been one of the biggest problem in the state.

While trying to Contact Chief Education Officer Kupwara were not available for the comment.
