Army Harassing Family Members Of ‘Freedom Fighters’: LeT

Date:

Srinagar, July 14: Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) chief Mehmood Shah on Saturday said Indian Army has “yet again kept its tradition of cowardice alive by harassing, intimidating and even arresting family members of freedom fighters”.

LeT spokesperson Dr Abdullah Ghazanwi in a statement issued to GNS quoted Shah as saying that “recently the family members of Zaid, Abu Muaz Shaheed, Shahid-ul-Islam Shaheed and Bashir Lashkari were arrested and subjected to torture and their homes were ransacked”.

“Even the elderly were not spared. The honour of the mothers, sisters and daughters is of utmost importance to us. We will never let anyone jeopardize the honour of our people,” Mehmood Shah said.

He warned of “severe consequences” if the families of “freedom fighters” are harassed. (GNS)
