A school bus driver was killed, and two students were injured after a bus skidded off the road and fell into a gorge in Jammu and Kashmir’s Budgam district on Friday.
Officials said the school bus of IPTS School from Khansahib met with the accident at village Neego Brenwar while passing through the area, resulting in the death of the driver, identified as Shahid Ahmad Lone, a resident of Kechwari Khansahib, on the spot.
Two students from Raiyar Khansahib were also injured in the accident.
The injured students were initially shifted to a health centre at Surasyar and later referred to Sub-district Hospital Chadoora for treatment. They were subsequently shifted to SMHS Hospital Srinagar for specialised treatment.
Police have taken cognisance of the incident.
