Hurriyat (M), AAC Visit Home Of Slain Mir Hafizullah ‘Resistance Leaders, Activists Targeted Under Well Planned Conspiracy’

Srinagar: On the direction of Hurriyat Conference (M) chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, a high level delegation of the amalgam and Awami Action Committee (AAC) led by senior leader Muhammad Shafi Khan visited Badoora, Achabal, Anantnag to express solidarity with the family members of slain Tehreek-e-Hurriyat district president Mir Hafizullah.

According to a statement issued to GNS, the delegation comprised Muhammad Yousuf Bhat, Muhammad Sidiq Hazar, Nazir Ahmed Sofi, Muzaffar Ahmed Tak and others.

The delegation strongly condemned the killing of Mir Hafizullah at the hands of unidentified gunmen and also conveyed the condolence message of Mirwaiz Umar Farooq to the bereaved family.

While speaking over phone with the Ghulam Qadir Mir, the brother of slain Hafizullah Mir, Mirwaiz expressed his heartfelt condolence and sympathy and paid rich tributes to the slain.

He said Mir Hafizullah was a great soldier of Kashmir movement who remained steadfast towards his mission till his last breath. He also prayed for the highest standards in Jannah for the slain.

Meanwhile, speaking on the occasion, the Hurriyat (M) and AAC delegation also paid tributes to Mir Hafizullah stating that he never bowed before the pressure despite facing tough times and instead continued to work for the demand of right to self determination.

The graveyards of Kashmir are full of people who sacrificed everything for the cause of right to self determination and Hafizuallah is one among those whose sacrifices will always be remembered, the delegation said.

“Under a well planned conspiracy, resistance leaders and activists are being selectively targeted to push the resistance camp into a submission,” the members said.

At the end, the members offered special fateha prayers for Mir Hafizullah, the statement said. (GNS)
